Welcome to the latest edition of U DO U’s Top Rising Asian Artists! Today, we’re back at presenting you a set of fresh names that are on the rise in music. Whether it’s not your first time to vote, we are encouraging everyone to log in first before they cast their votes. Know that you can also vote ten times a day.
To give you a little refresher, SB19 notched the first spot followed by Keshi and TXT. Now, let’s see who will claim the Top Spot for this week! Polls will be open until November 6 at 6 pm, and we’ll release the full run-down of our Top Rising Asian Artists later that night! Watch out for the results this on Friday, November 6!

One of the UK’s most exciting breakthrough artists, Beabadoobee who is also a half-Pinay has been recognized in global stardom with her bedroom pop songs. Born in the Philippines and raised in London, Bea Kristi began recording music as Beabadoobee in 2017.
In fact, at a young age, Beabadoobee has built her huge, dedicated Gen-Z fan base with her flawless output of confessional bedroom pop songs and DIY aesthetic. And her visual is absolutely awesome!
Her first track, ‘Coffee’ gathered hundreds of thousands of streams in a matter of days, through a fan-uploaded video, and has since taken on new life as a sample in Powfu’s TikTok and worldwide chart-dominating hit ‘Death Bead (Coffee For Your Head)’.
Today, she just offers the world with her debut album ‘Fake It Flowers‘ that is currently slating digital platforms. Check her tracks now below!
Thai ‘Lover Boy’ singer-songwriter, Phum Viphurit is totally slating global stardom this year. Aside from enjoying his pop-scale success across Asia, he is also starting to make roads in the States.
Through channeling his breezy sounds, the known music artist from Bangkok moved to New Zealand before his teens. He started by uploading Frank Ocean covers to YouTube and eventually wrote his own songs just for fun.
Now, is one of the indie-pop artists that adore by many with his cool tracks and his amazing fashion sense. No doubt that the ‘Hello, Anxiety’ singer-songwriter eventually earned a larger fan base and was invited to sold-out music shows.
SLCHLD has been releasing lots of new music lately, and to tell you, we just stumble upon some of those tracks! Upon listening to them, this up-and-coming music artist offers a range of music such as hip-hop, R&B, soul, and with some sprinkle of folk.
Digging a little more, SLCHLD is a project name of Doohyuk who’s born in South Korea but now hailing from Canada. He started putting out his on Soundcloud and eventually slated multiple digital platforms because why not? His tracks are really great!

MAMAMOO, the K-pop divas have recently released their latest single ‘Dingga‘. Comprised of four very talented women with amazing personalities, MAMAMOO is one-of-a-kind in the K-pop industry.
Coming from Rainbow Bridge World (RBW) in South Korea, the four-piece girl band is absolutely known for their talent and incomparable stage presence. What’s more, they are recognized for their retro, jazz, R&B concepts, and their strong vocal performances.
Consisting of Solar, Moonbyul, Wheein, and Hwasa, MAMAMOO is a group that you really should check out and stan. We promise, you won’t be disappointed.
One of the emerging Pinoy Pride artists in this generation, we’re really excited to put No Rome on this list! He became one the most recognizable international Asian artists alongside his fellow Filipino Dirty Hit labelmates Beabadoobee who recently joined 88rising’s virtual concert. We couldn’t be any prouder for these two!
Digging a little more, No Rome grew up in a musically inclined family in Manila and basically was surrounded by his instrumentalist and songwriter father, Jun and his mother, Sally, a former vocal coach. No wonder why he got that great inclination to music! With such passion it is a no-brainer that he successfully made records and became adored by The 1975‘s frontman, Matty Healy.
To tell you, he just recently releases a new track called ‘1:45AM‘ that includes a collaboration with Bearface.
Kathy Yaeji Lee or known professionally as Yaeji, is one of the up-and-coming Korean-American electronic music artists that you should be listening right now! Her tracks definitely flaunt elements with blended styles of house music and hip hop with mellow, quiet vocals.
Moreover, she just drops a mixtape called “What We Drew / 우리가 그려왔던” that is currently called available on all digital platforms as well as her bonus track “When In Summer I Forget About the Winter”.
Yaeji’s mixtape was released under XL Recordings and don’t hesitate to immerse yourself with her chill vibe tracks!
The K-pop industry is continuously growing. And as stans of a lot of idols – be it a boy group or girl group – we are just really happy whenever we add new ones to our ever-growing roster of K-pop artists including Loona.
In case you need to know more on LOONA (like us), the group comprises of 12 very adorable and talented members, namely: HeeJin, HyunJin, HaSeul, YeoJin, ViVi, Kim Lip, JinSoul, Choerry, Yves, Chuu, Go Won and Olivia Hye. If you are waiting for their comeback, know that recently they just released their album ‘12:00′!
Sunset Roller Coaster
One of the best Taiwanese band that offers dreamy tunes is Sunset Roller Coaster. This five-piece band is not just consisted of guitarist, two percussionists, bassist, and keyboardist, but they also jams with their very own saxophone player.
Since 2011, this band totally gained a lot of recognition as a band from Taipei, Taiwan, and what’s more, the songs that they are releasing are mostly in English.
No doubt that many people fell in love with their funky vibe and their retro inspired band.
Another Thai artist to discover is Waruntorn Paonil or known as Ink Waruntorn. She is actually a Thai actress and eventually began her music career last 2006.
Additionally, Ink released her first extended play in 2017, called Bliss, containing all of the songs from her first five singles. Now, she is back with her track called Erase.
We are betting that a lot of Thai music artists are totally slating international stardom this year!
Hailing from Kanagawa, this R&B and hip hop Japanese singer-songwriter gives us a different spin in the age of J-pop. In case you’re curious how her name came to be, Iri chose to use her moniker instead of using her legal name in public.
You can enjoy her emerging head-boppy tracks with a husky voice that excellently flaunts her singing and rapping. With an excellent pool of producers shaping her tracks, we can say that she really does put out some of the best Japanese pop tracks in the last few years.
