Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, and Shawn Mendes are among the most notable artists that paid tribute to Dolly in this star-studded musical extravaganza.
It was in 2019 when Dolly Parton, that iconic singer whose songs your titas and lolas would sing non-stop during karaoke nights, became the first country music star who received the prestigious MusiCares Person of the Year honor. Celebrating the recognition, MusiCares, held a warmhearted concert that both paid tribute to the ‘Jolene’ hitmaker and raised funds for the org’s beneficiaries.
Called “Dolly Parton: A Musicares Tribute“, it was a night that brought together some of the biggest and brightest music stars from different eras, seeing live onstage performances of Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Shawn Mendes, Chris Stapleton, Willie Nelson, and Kacey Musgraves, among others.
Today, March 23, Dolly Parton announced that fans will be able to relive the big night as Dolly Parton: A MusiCares Tribute arrives on Netflix on April 7. Watch the announcement trailer below!

The event was able to raise over $6.7 million for MusiCares, The Recording Academy’s charity arm that seeks to provide musicians with financial, personal, and medical assistance in times of need.
“I am so happy that Netflix is going to be showing the MusiCares tribute to me,” Parton said in a statement. “MusiCares has done so much for the people in this industry and continues to be a beacon of light for those in need.
“I am so proud and impressed with all of the great artists. It was such a joy and a humbling experience to be able to sit and watch all of the great artists singing songs that I had written or had been a part of.”
Apart from her legendary songwriting, Dolly Parton is loved by the fans for her charity works. Recently, the singer donated $1 million to research dedicated to finding the cure for COVID-19. The research turned out to be successful, hence the formation of Moderna jab.
