‘Langit at Dagat’ by Martin Riggs is more than it seems. At a first listen it seems like the song is about the struggles of a couple in an LDR (long-distance relationship). And how they survive through it because that’s what people do when they’re in love.
But further probing, we found that the song is about more than the struggles caused by geography. But can also talk about the tragedy of people who live in different worlds altogether. And we take that to be people from different social classes, races, or religions.
This kind of issue is nothing new, but not often talked about even though it happens every day. So if you’ve ever found yourself in a relationship where the thing that keeps you connected is also the thing that keeps you apart, give ‘Langit at Dagat’ by Martin Riggs a listen! And you can do that right here:
So even though ‘Langit at Dagat’ by Martin Riggs is a beautiful and hopeful song about love and surviving through whatever circumstance. The other side of that story tells what exactly is keeping them apart, and not just distance or geography.
