Kuatro Kantos is back to break our hearts again, now with their third single entitled ‘Balikan’!

It seems like Kuatro Kantos loves to put us on emotional rollercoasters. Because when they released their last single ‘Happy Crush’ back in May they had us hoping for happier days. But such is life! One minute you think you’re okay, and the next you question everything you know. And that’s exactly what their third single ‘Balikan’ is all about.

Just a little recap on the people that make up the Las Piñas based band, Kuatro Kantos. So we’ve got Gerald Gacias (Vocals/Guitar), Julius Mangubat (Lead Guitar), Marlon Salvador (Drums), Dave Osias (Bass), and Maycee Sevilla (Keyboard). So their latest song ‘Balikan’ was released last August 30 and is preceded by their two other singles, ‘Sayang Lang’ and ‘Happy Crush’.

Do you think there’s ever a perfect time to choose to break up with someone? Sadly, we don’t think there ever is. Because relationships can be tricky, you’re never really sure if the person you’re in a relationship with is on the same page as you. And in most break-ups, it’s usually the one being left behind who hurts the most. Because nobody wants to feel like a reject. And ‘Balikan’ by Kuatro Kantos just perfectly expresses how it feels to get left behind.

Ako’y umaasa

Isip mo’y magbago pa

Anong magagawa?

Maibabalik pa ba?

It takes a lot of humility to ask someone who doesn’t want you anymore, to stay. And just blindly hope that they’ll change their mind. So if these lyrics just hit you right through the heart, give ‘Balikan’ by Kuatro Kantos a listen. It’s available to stream on Spotify!

We just absolutely love songs like ‘Balikan’ by Kuatro Kantos. Because there’s beauty in the rawness of bearing your soul to someone even after rejection. And bravery that can’t be matched when you fight for what you want, even if they don’t want you back. Overall, Kuatro Kantos is starting strong with their single releases. And we’re looking forward to hearing what else this band has up their sleeves.
