So if you think you need another sad song to relate to and cry to at night, listen to ‘Kahit Sa Panaginip’ by December Avenue and watch their lyric video below.
Why do you have to make us feel like crying every single time though? Even though we are not really heartbroken, you make us feel like we are! December Ave., hug us please!
Waking up to reality
We have an important question to ask and it is something that needs to be answered: who likes getting their heart broken? Certainly not us and we are sure that you don’t either! Heartbreak just frickin’ sucks, man. And honestly, to all people out there who are going through this painful feeling, we are wishing you all the strength to endure it!
A lot of songs effectively encapsulate this specific feeling that we are discussing. After all, heartbreak is a shared significant human experience. However, there’s just something very special about December Avenue that Filipinos really love. So with their recent single, ‘Kahit Sa Panaginip’, a lot of people have related and appreciated it for sure.
For us, the very specific part of the lyrics that really hurt was the question “babalik ka ba?” (“will you return?”). There’s just something really painful about the feeling of both longing and uncertainty in asking that to someone. The whole song really hits us, and we are sure that a lot of people felt the same way.
Just like the rest of December Avenue’s discography, ‘Kahit Sa Panaginip’ will surely hit us differently but painfully each frickin’ time.
