Despite the number of unfavored statements being thrown towards Tekashi 6ix9ine, Nicki Minaj still managed to collaborate with the controversial ‘Gummo’ rapper through the fresh new track FEFE. This Nicki Minaj new single was produced by Murda Beatz and Cubeatz. A candy-themed music video featuring the two artists was also released last July 22.
The colorful art direction is all thanks to Figure Eight Creative Group’s TrifeDrew and William Asher.
Issues accompanying Nicki Minaj new single release, however, contradicts the Willy Wonka-inspired video. After 6ix9ine’s shooting for a music video at Brooklyn on the morning of the release date, the rapper was reportedly victimized by a brutal kidnapping and robbery. It was said that an estimated amount of $750,000 worth of jewelry and up to $20,000 worth of cash were taken from the rapper’s home.
The release also follows 6ix9ine’s arrest for choking a 16-year-old at a Houston mall from which he was able to bail himself out last week. The rapper had always been known to be quite the subject of controversies. In 2015, he pled guilty for using a minor to execute a sexual performance.
Nicki’s collaboration with the controversial rapper somehow drags her into the negative limelight. Azealia Banks took it to Twitter to express her disgust for Nicki working with a ‘pedophile’.
I’m sorry. Dude gets convicted and you ’re still trying to help him out of it? That is very dark.

Banks has a point. There are issues that we seriously need to face and not just turn a blind eye on them by throwing in sugar, spice and everything nice like the FEFE video. In other news, the collaboration that Banks slams had led to Nicki announcing that the 22-year-old rapper will be onboard for her NICKIHNDRXX tour. Future was also announced to be part of the said show.
