‘Biyak’ by Juan Karlos is out now, and it might just make you cry!

Juan Karlos did it for us again, guys. This song is everything you need on a rainy day. Seriously, this is pain and love, and forgiveness in just one song. And since we know you’d want to listen to it, here’s him singing it live firsthand.

Quite the joker that he is, I actually thought that the first song was actually the new song. Nonetheless, he graced us once again with a heartbreakingly beautiful song.

Better than ‘Buwan’

I might get killed for making this claim for all I know, but to me, this might even be better than his hit single, ‘Buwan‘. And I loved the hell out of that song! Buwan is great with all its instruments, and JK’s voice, too! Him belting that high note by the last chorus stayed with us! We’ve worked our way to interpret the music video, too, in our own senses. ‘Buwan’ is definitely an all-time favorite, but this… this one’s different. It hits you right at the heart. You know, that type of pain where you just feel it suddenly in your stomach. Just the melody paired with JK’s voice, it tells a lot of stories. This song literally would make you close your eyes and just sway your head.

Simply raw

The lyrics are so simply written. No flowery words, just a bit of metaphor. It’s rare to even write something that is this raw and make it sound beautiful.

Ang bilis ng takbo ng oras
At ako rin ay di magtatagal
Ako rin ay lilipas
Sana’y matupad ang aking dasal

This song is basically the guy trying to ask for forgiveness for not being there when the girl needed him… when she was breaking. And I don’t know about you, but for me, asking for forgiveness for something you’ve done is one thing. Asking for forgiveness for something you weren’t able to do, now that’s something else.
I think ‘Biyak’ would be a perfect song to send to someone you’re apologizing to. Or if you’re someone who is waiting for an apology that never came, you’ll find solace in imagining that that person is the one speaking to you in this song.

You can throw all the hate you want towards Juan Karlos, but you can’t deny that this kid has talent, and that’s what we’re here for! And I’m sure you’ll know what I’m talking about when you listen to it, so stream it now!
