Riding on a voice fueled with undying dreams and determination, Zephanie Dimaranan emerged as our Idol Philippines!
After weeks of being serenaded by amazing voices from the Idol Philippines hopefuls, one must claim the victory. On the last day of the contest, three were chosen to compete against each other in a close fight. What we can tell you was that it was really hard to choose who to root for since all three were superb singers. Even the eliminations for the top 3 were hard to accept since Dan Ombao and Miguel Odron were such great artists as well. However, when it was announced that Zephanie Dimaranan had won, our hearts couldn’t be happier for her!

Past rejections as stepping stones
To be called a Philippine idol is grand, but it is no grander than what she had to go through in order to get there. Hailing from Biñan, Laguna, Zephanie was a kid who believed in her talent and used it to reach her dreams.
Everything has perfect time❤

And if you think she just got to the top in an instant, you can’t be any more wrong. She actually has joined a lot of singing contests prior to Idol PH. Remember those kid protegés we loved so much from The Voice Kids? Well, she was one of Coach Sarah Geronimo‘s mentees who reached the finals. The contest was then won by Elha Nympha. She also tried her luck with Tawag ng Tanghalan in the noontime show ‘It’s Showtime!’ where she came face to face with season 2 winner Janine Berdin as a daily winner.
She did not win either of those, but she definitely tried! Zeph’s story is just proof that the right things come to us at the right time. Nothing is ever late. As for her, she used the setbacks as an inspiration to never stop chasing her dreams. And now, she’s a name we won’t forget as she marked her place in history as the first-ever Idol Philippines!
Overwhelming support
Zephanie’s skills are one thing, but we can’t deny that the support her family and fans showed also helped her through it! Through her journey as an Idol hopeful, her pastor father and her church servant mother have been there for her. This upbringing might be the reason behind her undying patience and determination when it comes to going after her dreams!
Aside from this, her home city, Biñan, and province, Laguna have been very supportive throughout her fight as well! If you come to Biñan, you would see how posters of her are plastered everywhere, encouraging people to vote for her in Idol Philippines. The local provincial governance was happy that she won, too! She is truly a pride to her hometown!
And, of course, the fans wouldn’t just keep quiet about her winning. They made sure she felt the love and the cheers she deserve for winning!
Zephanie is an epitome of young lady who never gave up on her dreams. She was destined for something bigger. Pilipinas, let's welcome our Idol Grand Winner, Zephanie Dimaranan✨#IdolPHGrandWinner pic.twitter.com/vd7cUFiQfG
