Even the title is already enough to make us cry!

A few days ago, Sandara Park and Park Bom or more commonly known as Dara and Bom of 2NE1 released their acoustic cover for the group’s 2010 hit song, I Don’t Care. I Don’t Care was one of 2NE1’s top tracks, having won the famous SOTY or Mnet Asian Music Award for Song of the Year for 2010.

In case you weren’t aware, Dara has been the most active member of former Kpop super girl group 2NE1, with her weekly vlog, DaraTV! The Youtube channel has come a long way since her first upload 3 years ago, featuring tons of K-stars from veterans(Eun Ji Won of Sechs Kies) to rookies(ONE).

DaraTV celebrated hitting 1 Million subscribers on the channel and decided to give the fans a little treat, cue the surprise Dara and Bom cover with the tear jerking title, “What’s Up We’re…”. The title is an ode to 2NE1’s signature introduction, “What’s Up We’re 2NE1”

This wasn’t the first time that DaraTV featured Bom nor is it the first time that the two have come together for a cover. In fact, one year ago, Dara featured in Bom’s comeback track ‘Spring’, the first release for the artist since their disbandment 4 years ago.

They also released an unplugged version of ‘Lonely’ for DaraTV at that time and is actually the most popular upload on the channel. The recently released video of Dara and Bom’s ‘I Don’t Care’ cover was probably shot around the same time.

2NE1 Comeback?

It’s been a full 4 years since the official disbandment of 2NE1 but BLACKJACKS have been very much alive and hoping. Every encounter between the members beckons a wave of outcries for the group to comeback and perform as 2NE1 even for just one performance.

With 2NE1’s leader, CL, releasing a comeback after years of taking a break from her solo career, and hints here and there that BLACKJACKS have increasingly spotted over the past year, there’s no wonder why 2NE1 keeps trending as fans anticipate a full-force comeback from the foursome.

But with no confirmations have been given to any party of the four members’ individual agencies, our only hope is to keep the fire alive, BLACKJACKs! We’ll continue supporting each member’s individual activities and let them know that even without all the members in one stage, we’ll be happy to cheer them on just as loud as we cheered when they were 2NE1.
