“In the end, we must run slow with high hopes, be patient and face the future with optimism,” VANNA shared about the debut single, which mainly conveys a message of not losing hope even through the darkest of days. “I wanted to let people know that they are not alone and there is always hope.”

On High Hopes

High Hopes mixes VANNA’s gentle voice and an accompaniment of plucked acoustic guitar, piano, and string instruments, giving the track a raw, chilly soul-uplifting vibe to it.

Along with the release of “High Hopes” is a music video produced by award-winning independent filmmaker MatanBalalty, set in Mount Eitan in Jerusalem, Israel. To be released this year, the song is the title track of VANNA’s debut EP.

Music has always been with VANNA

VANNA was born and raised in Tel Aviv, Israel. Since then, her life has been immersed in music, culture, and diversity. Over the last three years, she has been working closely with producer Roy Avital on this EP, delivering a delicate fusion of indie electronic, pop and folk influenced by artists like RY X, Oscar and the Wolf, SYML and Sóley.

A  graduate of the Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music in Ramat Hasharon, Israel., VANNA confronts her inner turmoils through music. Making music is how she copes with and understands herself better. Through her songs, she also hopes to help others going through the same struggles.
