88rising launches new PH label, PARADISE RISING!

88rising along with Globe, presents PARADISE RISING, to spotlight the next generation of Philippine music!

True to its mission of empowering Asian talent worldwide, 88rising announces a new label with exactly that purpose. In collaboration with Globe, 88rising presents PARADISE RISING, a localized label dedicated as a platform to establish a presence for Filipino artists around the world.

Launching on July 31, PARADISE RISING will provide music distribution, music rights management, and artists development for Filipino artists, not unlike to how 88rising has done for their impressive roster of talents that includes the likes of Rich Brian, Joji, NIKI, Higher Brothers, and Stephanie Poetri among others. 88rising says fans can expect new songs along with promotional events, interview and digital content, as well as exclusive music videos.

“We are thrilled and excited about this opportunity to put Filipino music on the map and introduce our own brand of Filipino artists. We take pride in our Filipino music, and we are honored to do our part in further unlocking the potential of Asian music in the global music industry by partnering with 88rising to recreate the local music scene with some of the best rising talents.” says Globe President and CEO Ernest Cu.

First release

To commemorate its launch, PARADISE RISING will be releasing its first mixtape, ‘semilucent ‘on July 31 that features a diverse range of different artists and genres coming out of the Philippines. The five-track tape will include pop/R&B singer Kiana V, soulful R&B star Jason Dhakal, pop starlet Leila Alcasid and more. The initial project aims to bring together a talented group of rising Filipino artists to the forefront through music.

88rising founder Sean Miyashiro remarks,

“The Philippines and music go hand in hand, and there is such vibrancy in the way talented young artists are emerging, and such a massive audience in love with music. We want to support their voices, help them be heard, and bring music from the Philippines to a global audience.”

With this new platform, it is now plausible for our Filipino musicians to be recognized worldwide. This is an enormous opportunity for OPM to be known worldwide.
