And you don’t really need a guide because it’s easy as ABC, but let us help you, anyway.
Now that Facebook Avatars are made available in the Philippines, a lot of us when we go online can’t help but feel like Homer Simpson in a lesbian bar, and everyone around us has a cartoon-like version of themselves plastered on their faces.
The social media giant has finally introduced to the country its new feature that allows users to create a digital, reimagined version of themselves for their Facebook profile. Facebook Avatars can be described as a feature similar to Bitmoji, and you can create one based on how you look using a selection of pre-formulated stickers.
How do you make one?
Step 1: Simply log in to your Facebook account via the Android or iOS app. You need to make sure that your Facebook app is the latest version. If you don’t have a Facebook account yet, it means you have a very peaceful life and you should just forget this whole thing.
Step 2: Now, there’s a menu button represented by three horizontal lines at the bottom-right of your screen. Once you’ve clicked that, you’ll be presented with options that will force you to make a decision at least once in your life.
Step 3: Scroll down and find the ‘Avatars’ option. You should be able to find it quickly because it’s situated next to an icon that looks like Barney with no eyes.
Step 4: Something will pop up there that says, “A New Way To Be You on Facebook,” which is obviously bullshit because it’s not like it’s going to change a hopeless case like you. It’s just a little dress-up game by Mark Zuckerberg that happens to be played even by your CEO. It’s no more than a 5-minute indulgence that feeds human vanity– a highly forgettable feature, to be honest.
But click “Next” if you wish to go on.
Step 5: You can now start creating your Avatar, and from a wide array of choices you can pick your skin tone, face shape, eye shape, eyewear, body shape, and other body features.
At this point, though, you’ll realize you’re only wasting your time; but then, what important thing you should be spending time on? Proceed.
Every time you’re done choosing a feature, just click ‘Next’. Once you’re satisfied with how your Avatar looks, you can click ‘Done’ and then boom! You have your Avatar and you’re supposed to have it as your profile photo or whatever.
What do you think of this ‘Facebook Avatars’ feature?
