Yes, you read that right; and no, you did not time travel to 2007.
Nokia brand licensee, HMD Global has just released its latest Nokia feature phone, the 5310. This new version of a time-honored mobile is a fresh take on the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic launched way back August 2007.
You may not remember it by its name, but this new version will probably remind you of that one phone everybody had whether you were in elementary or were working in 2007. It came in black and had those iconic music-dedicated buttons along the colored edges.
As was before, this feature phone is music-centric, retaining its music control keys as vital to its design, a wireless FM radio, blasting through, now, dual speakers.
The Classic: Reimagined
This sole reimagine of the 2000’s most memorable mobile phone is packed with all the classic features it had back then but “enhanced”. It’s equipped with the MP3 player, wireless FM radio, LED Flash, and something we smartphone users quite definitely miss, a battery life that lasts as long as 22 days on a single charge.
As ode to its original design, this fresh take also has a fresh look to its play/pause, fast forward, and rewind buttons along the sides of its sleek round-edge body that comes in black/red, white/red variants.
One thing we do not miss though is its very limiting non-touchscreen technology, low onboard storage (16 MB), low ram (8 MB), and a petite 2.4-inch QVGA 230 x 340 px screen. Just like old times, the storage is expandable when aided with a micro SD card.
Aside from its classic features, it’s updated with dual-sim technology, VGA camera, and a Series 30+ operating system (launched 2013).
As far as connectivity options go, HDI Global offers its Bluetooth V3.0, micro-USB port, and a standard 3.5 mm jack.
Out on Major Online Shopping Sites
The newly released mobile was made available beginning June 13, 2020, on major online shopping sites like Shopee and Lazada and will be made available in mall kiosks starting June 19, 2020. This charming device can be yours for the retail price of Php 2,090 SRP.
