The summer is upon us – and we are all thinking about how to make the temperature cooler. Because of the lockdown, we can’t really make any plans to leave the city or go on vacation. So, the only option we have is to do something to our houses that brings down the temperature by several degrees.

In some countries, the temperature has reached 49 degrees.  One of the many options – out of the quick ones – is installing either an air conditoner or an air cooler in your room. If you are wondering which one to install in your house, read this article to know.

  • An Air cooler is cheaper

A regular air cooler, one that will throw cool air to a 150 sq feet room, will always be cooler than the cost of an air conditioner. Many individuals who do not have the budget for an air conditoner opt for an air cooler.  The air cooler is a simple device, and works on a completely different principle, so it is cheap, when one compares it to the air conditioner.

  • Working of an Air cooler depends on the user

An air cooler blasts air through vents, but you do need to put cold water in the machine. The amoung of coldness will depend on the kind of water you put. For example, if you add some ice to the water that you will put, you will ice-cold air from the ice-cooler.

  • A Cooler Doesn’t Need Any Installation

You don’t need to do any installation for the air cooler. All you need to do is keep it in your room and connect it to an electric point. This is very different from the air conditioner, where you will need to spend extra money on the installation – unless and until the company is giving you a free delivery option.

These are some of the advantages of the air cooler over the air conditioner. However, there isn’t any comparison between the two, as they are two completely different devices. It’s like discussing whether you’d like to own and use a car or a bike.

So, if you have the money and the ability to install and air conditioner, you should definitely go ahead and get an air conditioner instead of an air cooler.  There’s a range of options available, and you can either choose from a window air conditioner or a split air conditioner, depending on your requirement and budget.
