You can do parasailing, ATV, Flyfish, listen to live music, pig out, and more! There is something for everybody! But if you’re the chill type of family and just want to relax, then you can just lay by the 4km picturesque beach, breathe in the fresh air, and get a bit of tan… and you’re all set!

Hidden in Antequera, Bohol is a magical place where you and your family can unwind and refresh. Mag-aso falls are twin waterfalls located at the bottom of a deep gorge. To get there, you just have to pay 2 barangay fees and go down a 197-step staircase and voila! A scenic view of stunning waterfalls surrounded by turquoise water is right in front of you! This little piece of paradise is not usually a part of tour packages so there’s a good chance that you can have the place to yourself! Just make sure to go there when it’s not raining because the rocks and the stairs going down gets really slippery when wet.

Giant Lanter Festival, Pampanga

Giant Lantern Festival in Pampanga starts every second week of December. It a great place to bring your children to so that they may learn a piece of Philippine history and a taste of Filipino culture. Originally, the festival was held at Bacolor. But when Pampanga’s provincial capital was transferred to San Fernando back in 1904, the festival followed. Before, the festival was a religious tradition that Pampangueños would do during the holiday season. They would make small parols and bring it to the church when doing simbang gabi until the 24th. Now, 15 feet of colorful and spectacular parols are put up on display for people to appreciate. It’s never out of style to have a fun and educational vacation!
