If you are a person of the internet, you might know about this common phenomenon called ‘dance challenges’.
There are a lot of things which shook the internet this year. From memes to issues about a lot of different things, we have honestly kept track of most of them–after all, we are the children of technology and the internet. So when recently we have observed that a lot of dance challenges are also taking over online platforms such as social media, we just knew that we needed to compile some of the best ones in an article.
So folks, here is the article and below are just some of the few Internet Dance Challenges that surely caught a lot of people on the hype train this 2019.
It is still debated upon where the ‘WOAH dance‘ originated – some say Dallas – but people have been dancing it since late 2018. Apparently though, the official song to the dance was ‘WOAH’ by KRYPTO9095 ft. D3MSTREET. Months into 2019, a lot of dancers are still posting their videos trying out the famous challenge.
With a few basic but appealing steps, we could understand why the WOAH dance went big. After all, it seems fun to do, especially if you ooze the right mix of confidence and sass.
CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP
Of course, we’re assuming that you could guess what happened next. This blew up as its own dance challenge, prompting a lot of people all over the world to upload videos of them bopping to the song.

FANCY, FEEL SPECIAL and KILL THIS LOVE
You and I know that the K-pop industry is on a whole other level. Moreover, they bring incomparable hype when it comes to the release of the music videos and the amazing choreography for the dance themselves. So when ‘Fancy‘ and ‘Feel Special‘ by TWICE along with ‘Kill This Love‘ by BLACKPINK came out this year, you might guess what happened next.
Yep, dance covers everywhere!
‘Catriona‘ is a song by Filipino artist Matthaios which was also notable for being able to bring out lots of different challenges. Mostly uploaded on the TikTok platform, we were honestly a bit impressed when it made the cut to this year’s internet dances. However, in case you haven’t heard of the song yet, check out the official music video for it here below.

And lastly our personal favorite, TALA
A masterpiece of the Pop Star Princess herself, Sarah Geronimo surely made history with ‘Tala‘. There is no denying that the song itself is phenomenal, but the dance is honestly just as amazing. In the slight chance that you still haven’t heard about it though, check out the official music video of ‘Tala’ by Sarah Geronimo by simply playing the clip below.
The song came out 3 years ago but it was only just recently that a lot of people took note of how iconic the dance is. Of course, Filipinos won’t give up the opportunity to learn and dance the song themselves. All over TikTok, Facebook and Twitter, you could actually see people dancing to ‘Tala’ here and there.

If we were to be completely honest with you, we have already learned the dance ourselves. Also, we’re guessing that you did too. Because… who wouldn’t be interested to learn this amazing piece?
