5 Places Where You Can Get Fluffy Soufflé Pancakes!

All it takes is one post to go viral, and the rest follow. So we have no doubt that you’re now aware (and craving) for a plate of fluffy Japanese soufflé pancakes! Because this dessert sensation has been all over social media! And we get it, because what’s not to like about them? This towering stack of pancakes is light, fluffy, and sinfully sweet! And not to mention, absolutely beautiful!

But what makes them different from regular pancakes? The fluffy Japanese soufflé pancakes are made with the same key ingredients—milk, eggs, and flour. But it’s the addition of beaten egg whites that make all the difference. And after that, all you need is a round mold and a hot pan on low heat and you’re set!

So naturally, the next question is where can you get a plate? Well, we’ve rounded up some restaurants that offer fluffy Japanese soufflé pancakes, just for you!

#1 Gram Café & Pancakes

The first on our list is Gram Cafe & Pancakes at SM Megamall, where it had its grand opening just last February 9. And did you know that Gram Cafe & Pancakes is actually a Japanese dessert cafe from Shinsaibashi, Osaka?

So rest assured, that it doesn’t get more authentic than their Premium Pancakes for only 385 PHP. Their freshly-made Premium Pancakes come with the usual, a dollop of butter, cream, sugar, and maple syrup. But take note that they only serve 90 orders a day at 11 AM, 3 PM, and 6 PM.

But aside from their Premium Pancakes, they serve regular panackes as well. And they come in a variety of flavors: Apple and Tea Cream (445 PHP), Tiramisu (395 PHP), Classic (300 PHP), Caramelized Banana (385 PHP), Mixed Fruits and Chocolate (425 PHP), Coconut Custard (325 PHP), and Salmon and Avocado (445 PHP).

#2 Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory

Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory is more popularly known for its cheese and milk treats, such as the Creamy Cow Cow milk pie and of course, their cookies. But now that they’ve opened their first-ever restaurant at Ayala Malls Manila Bay, they’ve got more yummy treats to offer!

Just like their plain fluffy Japanese soufflé pancakes (210 PHP), which is served with dusted sugar, maple syrup, and fresh cream. Additionally, you can also have them with chocolate (265 PHP), Creme Brulee (265 PHP), or summer berries (315 PHP).

A word of warning, since Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory is pretty popular right now, expect a wait time of up to 30 minutes up to an hour for the service time.

#3 am.pm

Although am.pm is a Hong Kong-based cafe, they offer a very unique take on the fluffy soufflé pancakes. They first opened their branch at Ayala Malls Manila Bay last October 2019. And has since been delivering fluffy pancake goodness, among others.

Their version of the fluffy Japanese soufflé pancakes involves a lot of different toppings, like blow-torched custard cream, a lot of whipped cream, and various syrups. And you can even have it with a side of their soft-serve ice cream!

am.pm’s Original Soufflé Pancakes cost around 140 PHP. But there are other flavors as well: Tiramisu (180 PHP), Shizouka Matcha (180 PHP), Pearl Milk Tea (210 PHP), Ube (180 PHP), White Chocolate (210 PHP), Dark Chocolate ( 210 PHP), and Forest Berries (210 PHP).

#4 Puffy’s

Straight from Taiwan to Manila, Puffy’s fluffy soufflé pancakes will hit two cravings in one go! Because one of their best-sellers is their Milk Tea soufflé pancakes. And good news for those of us who live in the North, because Puffy’s is located at SM North Edsa. Their other flavors include Creme Brulee, Oreo, and Mango.

#5 Pancake House
