Grammy Award winner Billie Eilish seeks to inspire more young people to create music by launching her signature ukulele.

Billie Eilish has teamed up with Fender to launch her signature ukulele. It has a built-in Fishman Kula preamp and is made with staple wood. Coated in matte black, it’s adorned with the singer-songwriter’s signature ‘blohsh’ logo. The instrument is described as “a bold take on the four-string classic,” and can be bought for $299.99 according to the retailer. You can find out more about it here.

If you’re wondering why of all the instruments, the American pop star has chosen the ukulele, it was explained that it was the very first instrument Eilish has picked up. At six years old, she learned to play her first song– ‘I Will’ by The Beatles.

“The ukulele was the first instrument I learned: it’s where I started writing, and where I found new ways of writing that I had never tried before. It inspires a different kind of writing,” said Billie Eilish, who has recently dropped her latest single, ‘My Future.’

“The rules of the ukulele are simple, and basically if you know three chords you can play almost any song. I hope my Fender Signature ukulele inspires people to start playing, and start writing — anyone can do it.”

This ukulele is just one of the many testimonies of Billie Eilish’s influence on pop culture. You can learn more about its features by watching a video from Fender below.
