Ed Sheeran Surprises ‘Game of Thrones’ Fans with Cameo

Ed Sheeran is widely known for his great tunes and charming performances. However, he’s making a splash again in a “Game of Thrones” Season 7 Episode 1 cameo.

Celebrity cameos are not at all uncommon in Hollywood. Maroon 5’s Adam Levine even starred in the “Begin Again” film with Keira Knightley as one of the main characters.

“Game of Thrones” Season 7 premiere has been highly anticipated for months now and Ed Sheeran’s cameo may or may not have made it better. The “Shape of You” singer is seen in the episode singing campfire songs with fellow soldiers.

Will Ed Sheeran Die in Game of Thrones?

Seeing as Sheeran is one of the soldiers, there might be a gruesome death waiting for him in the following episodes of GOT. The show’s reputation for violence can also spell disaster for him.

Arya interacts with Sheeran and the group of soldiers harmlessly, but she does carefully survey the surroundings to see where their weapons are. The group does not believe her even if she tells them that she plans on killing Cersei Lannister.

Also considering that it’s just a cameo, Sheeran’s group may just part ways. Another surprising outcome might be a sex scene since the show is also known for its boldness.

Some GoT fans are not at all impressed by the cameo. They felt that Sheeran was out of place and didn’t quite fit in well in the show’s own universe.

Ed Sheeran Concert in the Philippines

For those who want to see more of Sheeran outside “Game of Thrones”, fans now have the chance to hear him live in Manila. The singer composer will be performing for his Divide World Tour in Manila at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds on November 7, 2017.

Will he perform a full version of the song he sang in GOT? We won’t really know. For now, his inclusion in the famous TV series might just tide his fans over until the concert in Manila.
