Justin Nillosan

justin nillosan

Justin is a member of the UP Streetdance Club, as well as a trainee with The Crew and DanSSA alumni. “I pursued dance because it makes me happy.” The beginning of his creative process is either his vision or the music. He’ll freestyle to find its natural flow and pick up the moves from there after building some groundwork.

What is your biggest achievement so far?

“In my dance career, the biggest achievement I have attained so far was whenever we represented the Philippines in international dance competitions with my high school team.”

Kyle Mabasa

A Power Impact Dancers senior choreographer who was just named to the House of Mizrahi Philippines Chapter. Kyle had the opportunity to compete and represent the Philippines in international events such as World Supremacy Battlegrounds 2017, Seacon Street International Thailand 2017, and World Supremacy Battlegrounds 2018, where he won the championship!

What’s next for you?

“I’m hoping to teach a few choreo and vougue classes. I’d like to promote the House of Mizrahi in the Philippines as well! We offer ballroom, style, LGBTQ+, and HIV awareness seminars, as well as lessons and conversations on these topics.”

Dance was more than just a passion for Xernan. It was love. “You don’t let go of the things that you love. You nurture, cultivate, and bear fruit.”

What is your biggest achievement so far?

“After being a world champion, being an elite judge, going to America’s Got Talent, and being HHI Philippines Director, I can say that my biggest achievement now is to be able to provide events that helps out our dance community. Events that give them life experiences that they won’t forget, and events that can possibly help their careers as dancers.”

Miles Soriano

miles soriano

A proud member of Protein Shake and alumnus of the Company of Ateneo Dancers (CADs). Miles was the only one who got into dance without anyone encouraging him to try it. “The interest and curiosity were purely my own. What started as a random hobby over a summer in high school became a genuine love. It also didn’t hurt that after a while people started noticing that I could actually dance.”

What is your biggest achievement so far?

“I won Choreo Cup 2017, a choreography competition in the Philippines. Believe me when I say I had no aspirations about winning – I didn’t even know what the prize was for 1st place! So when I won the opportunity to attend the Summer Jam Dance Camp in Singapore, as well as teach one class while I was there, it felt pretty cool.”

Lloyd Marcaida
