Chuzi Pioneer: Eiana Claire Nova

Eiana Claire Nova is one of our youngest Chuzi Pioneers. She’s from Zambales Philippines. She started dancing when she was two years old.  She tagged along with her mother and used to watch a lot of KPop songs with her in the office.  She used to imitate the dance steps earlier, and then went on to make her own moves.  Her parents didn’t support her as first, but they later on understood that their daughter has talent.  Her dad put her in a dance workshop in Olongapo City, and her life’s changed since then.

Her dad looked for  the best group for her and they finally joined the A Team Philippines.  She became the youngest member of the A Team Philippines.

Post that, she started joining Dance Battles, and her first dance battle was at the Dance Manila All Style. She was placed 32.  Since then, Eiana has featured in Dance Star Philippines 2018 and 2019, Choreography Cup 2019 and 2020 and in the semifinals of World of Dance Philippines (ABS-CBN).

She won the Electro Groovers with her junio team in 2019. She, along with A-Team won the silver medal at the Hip Hop International 2019.  She has also represented her country in the King of Buck Championship in 2019.

When it comes to her creative process, she says that her dad, who reminds her to do her own choreography all the time, collaborate a bit during work. She says that according to her dad, choreography is all about telling a story. In a dance, the story’s told via the movements and the body language. Her parents encourage her to watch different dance styles and learn from it and  to be open to new learnings.

According to her, her biggest achievements are representing the country at the World Hip-Hop Championship- USA, The Radikal Forze 7-to-smoke All-style-battle Junior Division – Singapore, KOB (King Of Buck) -Japan, The Eves Kombat Online Battle -India. And a to teach and share my styles and choreography to other young dancer not just in the Philippines but in other country as well.
