Team Secret comes out with a new roster!

After laying low for a while, Team Secret comes back with a big surprise by adding a new member to their roster!

When Team Secret missed out on the start of the 2019-20 Dota Pro Circuit, many fans wondered what they were up to. And after months of speculation, they finally revealed a change of their roster, acquiring Dota 2 veteran, Lasse “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen.

Matu will take over the Position 1 player, Zheng Michał “Nisha” Jankowski. While Nisha will shift to being the mid laner.

“Matu is a veteran of the scene, and is known for his unique and invasive hero specialization,” Secret said. “He will be playing the carry role in our new lineup and Nisha will move to the mid lane. We look forward to adding his skills, and his personality, to the team and we warmly welcome him to the Secret family.”

Say goodbye to MidOne

However, with new beginnings also comes a bitter ending. Sadly, with Team Secret welcoming Matu, they also had to say goodbye to their former mid player, Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng due to him taking a break from the Dota 2 scene.

“He has sacrificed tremendously in order to compete and contribute to our team’s success at the top level of DotA. He has proved an invaluable player and friend along the way, and we could not ask for a better team member.”

New coach

Along with MATUMBAMAN, Team Secret has a new member to support them from the backlines. Lee “Heen” Seung Gon is a renowned Dota 2 coach after leading Team Liquid to victory in The International 2017. Up until recently, he was the coach for the Philippine Dota 2 team, TNC Predator, which placed 9-12th in this year’s TI.

“We are very excited to be bringing on board two TI champions in MATUMBAMAN and Heen. Their addition to the squad will introduce new exciting possibilities and playstyles, and we are eagerly anticipating getting to work in the new season.”
