This is a dream come true!

A battle royale, as we know it, is a video game genre that combines survival, scavenging, and exploration elements with the last-man-standing gameplay. But over the years the category has been dominated by titles like Fortnite, PUBG, Apex Legends, and Call of Duty: Warzone– all of which have the same formula of hunting, shooting, bombing, and enduring until you’re the sole survivor.

Spellbreak is here to tell you that a battle royale isn’t all guns and bombs; it’s also sorcery and spells.

Developed and published by Proletariat, Spellbreak is a multiplayer, action-packed battle royale that is focused on magic. In this game, playable characters are composed of spellcasting, power-wielding heroes that will allow players to channel their inner battlemages.

Because it’s essentially a battle royale, it follows the same mechanic of players landing onto a map– which we’ll call Hollow Lands. Upon descent, they will have to loot and enhance their power before fighting one another in order to be the last battlemage standing. The gameplay also includes unlocking and combining spells, crafting builds, and mastering your environment.

If you did not get to experience Spellbreak during its early access, don’t fret, because it’s now available on PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Switch and it’s free to play. You can get your copy now on the Epic Games store! By the way, the game supports cross-platform so you don’t have to worry about your friends having different devices.
