In case you didn’t know, the 2019 Esports Awards kicked off this weekend. It’s a much-awaited event by many gaming personalities and developers since it gives recognition to the people behind the esports industry. And one of the coveted titles was taken home by Riot Games with their game, League of Legends!
Aside from the Esports Game of the Year title, Riot Games managed to bag two more awards including Esports Publisher of the Year and Esports Live Event of the Year with their League of Legends Worlds Championship 2019.

LoL 10th anniversary

As 2019 nears its end, we can’t help but mention that this year has been bountiful for League of Legends as it also celebrated its 10th anniversary. The celebration included tons of surprises like a new champion, upcoming games, and an animated film.

Furthermore, LoL recently launched a new ~wave~ of an in-game musical act called ‘True Damage’ featuring (G)I-DLE’s Soyeon, Becky G, Keke Palmer, Duckwrth, and Thutmose!
The animated hip-hop group voiced by these artists debuted on Sunday alongside the League of Legends World Championship in Paris. In case you haven’t heard it yet, give it a listen right here!
Along with new music, Riot Games also released in-game skins for True Damage. While Qiyana will get an exclusive Prestige skin designed by the French luxury brand, Louis Vuitton.
