GAMES: Virtus.Pro and Natus Vincere to represent CIS at the Stockholm Major

CIS Region is back in their A-game with Virtus.pro and Natus Vincere for The Stockholm Major!

CIS Region has always been one of the top contenders in tournaments. And with The Stockholm Major approaching, their regional qualifiers ended with the region’s best teams as of now. To represent CIS region are powerhouse Virtus.pro and classic Natus Vincere.

Virtus.pro is a no brainer. To be honest, everyone expects Virtus.pro to come on top on The Stockholm Major CIS qualifiers. With their experience and brute force, they came out victoriously with a ticket to The Stockholm Major. Despite the new patch, they stood their ground with their own play style and no flashy gimmicks. Unlike other teams testing out new strategies, VP knows better than that. Exceptional skill and strength, that’s how the bears played. Aside from Ramzes666, Alexis “Solo” Berezin showed a unique supporting style to fit with VP’s aggressive play style. No matter what hero he uses, he builds Tranquil Boots and Bracers for sustainability all throughout the game. They aren’t a top tier team that’s feared for no reason.

On the other hand, Natus Vincere is a long time household name in competitive Dota 2. Despite being left behind before for the past couple of years, Na’Vi is back at it. True, the team had a rough start for this season. After not qualifying for the Kuala Lumpur Major, this would be the team’s first Major. Aside from that, fans wavered as Dendi moved to Tigers as a stand-in. But that didn’t stop them from pursuing their goals. Even with all the strong contenders in The Stockholm Major CIS qualifiers, they managed to defeat other highly regarded teams such as Gambit Esports and The Pango. A great salute to Andrey “Mag” Chipenko who had freshen up Na’Vi’s drafting to which aided them to success so far.

Moreover, Virtus.pro and Natus Vincere, as winners of the qualifiers, will head to DreamLeague Season 11 The Stockholm Major. While VP is already qualified for TI9 sitting with their current DPC points, Na’Vi can use this opportunity to get some points for themselves. The Stockholm Major will take place on March 14 – 24, 2019 in Stockholm, Sweden.
