Things aren’t looking so great for the SEA team as TNC Predator misses StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor.

Even with their offlaner, Kuku back in the squad, it seems that TNC is in the dumps. Just recently, the team did not secure a slot for The Stockholm Major after losing the qualifiers. And now, They also missed their chance to for the StarLadder ImbaTV Minor after losing in the SEA open Qualifiers.

TNC Predator just got back their offlaner, Kuku right on time for the Starladder Minor. However, before they even participate, their captain, ninjaboogie, left the team. To have a complete roster for the StarLadder Minor SEA open qualifiers, eyyou assumed ninjaboogie’s position as support.

Even will all those changes, TNC fell short during the SEA open qualifiers.  And they were even expected to come out victorious without too much struggle in the open qualifiers. The open qualifiers had 32 teams competing for 2 slots in the closed qualifiers. Indeed, TNC made a tough call since it won’t be easy getting there. But it’s TNC we’re talking about.

However, despite having a good run in the qualifiers so far, the team slipped up. During the Round of 8, Admiral eliminated TNC. In a Bo1 match, TNC went head to head with a fellow Filipino team Admiral. Admiral’s made up of well-known names in the local Dota 2 community such as Karl, Bokerino and JobeeEzy. With TNC eliminated from the open qualifiers, they have no other ways to participate in the closed qualifiers. Nor can they make an appearance in the Minor or the Stockholm Major.

Despite all of that, TNC will be participating in the World Electronic Sports Games (WESG). They’ve qualified for the tournament last December 2018 as the Southeast Asia champions. WESG will take place on Chongqing, China on March 7 – 10, 2019. However, Kuku won’t be playing with them due to the organizer’s and the Chinese local government’s wishes.
