Making a mark in history, TNC’s Tims finds himself drafted in the TI9 All-Star match as the first Filipino participant!

With the conclusion of the TI9 Group Stage matches, TNC has shown promise with surprising results. Upsetting crowd favorites like Team Secret and Team Liquid, they showcased how far they’ve grown over the past season. But that’s not all! One of their key players, Timothy John “Tims” Randrup made it to the TI9 All-Star Match roster as well. And he’s the first Filipino player to make it in the prestigious lineup!

The International 2019 All-Star match is one of the much-awaited segments of the said tournament. It features top players based on their Fantasy Points score. Drafted players will then compete in an All Random Death Match and see to it that they win the game. And now that the Group Stage has ended, they have revealed the Top 10 players participating in the All-Stars Game.

All-Stars lineup

TNC’s very own Tims has been one of the top players in the Fantasy Points Ranking. He’ll be playing for Team Red along with the following:

-Johan ‘pieliedie’ Åström (Newbee)

-Lu ‘Somnus’ Yao (PSG.LGD)

-Michal ‘Nisha’ Jankowski (Team Secret)

-Amer ‘Miracle-‘ Al-Barkawi (Team Liquid)

On the other hand, they’ll be competing against Team Green. The lineup for Team Green is as follows:

-Syed Sumail ‘SumaiL’ Hassan (Evil Geniuses)

-Ding ‘Dy’ Cong (Vici Gaming)

-Michael ‘miCKe’ Vu (Alliance)

-Roman ‘RAMZES’ Kushnarev (

-Akbar ‘SoNNeikO’ Butaev (Natus Vincere)

Since the All-Star match is set to be an all-random deathmatch, players will randomly spawn as a new hero every time they die. Each team will have 40 respawns available. The first team to exhaust their respawns, reach 45 team deaths or get their Ancient destroyed will lose the game.

The All-Star match will commence on Friday, August 23. So this means, many of the All-Star players may have been eliminated from the main stage battle.
