Naughty Dog and Sony Interactive released the new trailer for The Last of Us Part II– the highly anticipated sequel to 2013’s classic action-adventure, survival horror game.
The trailer, released on May 6, shows the first look at the emotional, bloody sequel which mainly focuses on the adult Ellie as she embarks on a rage-fueled journey for revenge. “After a vicious and violent event disrupts the relative peace that Ellie has found in Jackson, she sets out to bring justice to those responsible,” says the trailer description. “As she hunts them down one by one, she is confronted with the devastating physical and emotional repercussions of her actions.”
New release date!
As stated in the trailer description, The Last of Us Part II would be launching June 19, 2020.
The sequel launch hasn’t gone smoothly. The much-awaited follow-up had been initially set for release in February this year, but then it was rescheduled to May to give the developers enough time to fix the final bugs. Last month, Sony took to Twitter to announce that The Last of Us II launch would be delayed “until further notice” due to COVID-19 concerns.
Also, if you’ve been going gaga over the sequel, you might have been made aware of the game leaks that have circulated on the internet. They even prompted a response from Naughty Dog.
