Surprising the whole SEA Dota community, BOOM ID emerges as victors at the StarLadder Minor SEA qualifiers!
New blood boils in SEA as BOOM ID proves themselves worthy and victorious. The Indonesian-based team, BOOM ID, showed their hidden prowess during the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor and emerged victoriously. They will be heading to Ukraine on March for the Minor and maybe, rack up some DPC points along the way.
To be honest, BOOM ID has been around for some time but wasn’t able to make great breakthroughs among their SEA competitors. SEA region has been dominated by the likes of Fnatic, Mineski, and TNC Predator before. And BOOM ID doesn’t always get a chance to participate in big leagues. But with their persistence and consistency, it seems to have paid off now. With TNC out of the picture early in the open qualifiers, they stomped Filipino teams, DeToNator and Lotac, fellow contenders during the closed qualifiers. And they earned the only slot for SEA at the upcoming StarLadder Minor in Kiev, Ukraine.
BOOM ID might have had their fair share of fails in the esports scene along the way. But this might be a turning point for them. Despite not be facing powerhouses from different regions, they’ll be facing strong contenders no doubt. Aside from Gambit Esports who won in the Bucharest Minor, they’ll face EternalEnVy’s team, Flying Penguins, with well-experienced players like Sneyking.
If BOOM ID performs well in the upcoming tournament, then the StarLadder Minor might be their ticket to their very first Major. Aside from a direct qualification to The Stockholm Major, they’ll get the lion’s share from the $300,000 USD prize. Also, they’ll get respective DPC points as well. The StarLadder Minor will take place in Kiev, Ukraine on March 7 – 10, 2019.
With BOOM ID winning the Starladder Minor Sea Qualifiers, do you think they’ll continue their strong presence? Will they make a huge impact on the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor? Share us your thoughts on the comments down below. Or hit us up on our Facebook or Twitter @UDoUPh.
