If you’re a ppd fan boy since the beginning, then you better celebrate. Because as of now, Ninjas in Pyjamas just took their very first title win this season!

After a few months of grinding in premier and minor tournaments, Ninjas in Pyjamas’ effort paid off. In WePlay! Tug of War: Radian, NiP wins their first title win against Team Empire. In a best-of-seven series, despite dropping two games to Empire, NiP still managed to come out at the top.

Apparently, some fans are looking forward to Gambit Esports, claiming yet another WePlay installment title. Since Gambit had played neck-to-neck with NiP before, people speculated another win from the CIS team. However, they dropped early and NiP proceeded with a strong run all throughout the game. NiP is one of the crowd-favorites, the ones predicted to win the overall tournament. Though OG took the spotlight during the early stages of the tournament because of Kuro “KuroKy” Takhasomi’s presence as the stand-in. But NiP was dominating everyone. Game after game. Team after team. NiP kept on winning up until the best-of-five finals and best-of-seven super finals. Exhausting as it sounds, NiP kept their cool and was able to stay as strong level-headed as possible.

Even though the team dropped a few games every now and then, they never wavered under pressure. ppd showed how exceptional his drafting skills are. To top that of, Ace and Fata did a good job of carrying the game on their shoulders. While Saksa helped created space for 33, the carries did their job in controlling lanes and team fights. Indeed, it was plainly exhausting for them, playing the best-of-seven super finals. Team Empire did prove to be stubborn, winning Game 1 and Game 5. However, NiP did their best to come out victoriously in the end

NiP brought home their first winning title this season and $30,000 with them. Aside from that, they receive a direct invite to the upcoming WePlay! Tug of War: Mad Moon event.
