Why did he become a seeker of darkness?

Just when you thought the Xehanort saga was over, Square Enix comes up with a new Kingdom Hearts mobile game slated for 2020 tentatively called Project Xehanort. It is said to follow Master Xehanort’s story of how he fell into the darkness and became the game’s antagonist.

We’ve already seen him on Kingdom Hearts III and Birth By Sleep but this ongoing project will focus on a young Xehanort and dive deeper into his origins before he set out to claim Kingdom Hearts..

Square Enix already teased fans on Wednesday by saying they will have an “unexpected announcement”. And surely they did after lowkey creating a Twitter account for Project Xehanort.

“Guess the Name” campaign

Of course with the unexpected announcement many fans were caught off guard and they have to make up for it, right? Well, Square Enix also revealed that they will be holding a Twitter contest of whoever guesses the name for Project Xehanort will get BIG rewards. The “Guess the Name” campaign will run from today until January 28. If you one want to be part of the 10 lucky winners then visit their official site for the mechanics!

As of now, these are the only details we have for Project Xehanort but one thing Square Enix promised is that it’s a whole new Kingdom Hearts experience on mobile.

In case you aren’t aware yet, Kingdom Hearts is a series of action role-playing games in collaboration between Disney Interactive and Square Enix.

2020 delayed games

Meanwhile, have you also heard that Final Fantasy VII Remake, another project of Square Enix, has been pushed back to April from its initial release in March? According to a statement released by the company, “We are currently at a stage where the game is complete and playable, but there’s still work to be done.”
