PSG.LGD’s mid laner Maybe gets married during his break from the Dota 2 competitive scene!

In an unexpected turn of events, Lu “Maybe” Yao announced his marriage right after the announcement of his break. Earlier, PSG.LGD announced that Maybe requested to take a break from the Dota 2 competitive scene. According to the released statement of the organization, Maybe intends to use the time to get back in shape and make it to Rank1 in the leaderboards this calibration. Which seemed reasonable as PSG.LGD, despite a strong team, had placed 4th – 6th place during the previous tournaments in the new DPC Season. So that’s why fans and the whole Dota 2 community didn’t see his marriage announcement coming.

Just a few days after the announcement of his break, the 23-year-old Dota 2 player posted in his Weibo account pictures of the marriage. The pictures show their marriage certificate, wedding rings and other memories of the couple. According to some Redditors, Maybe and his wife were together for almost 5 years. Maybe proposed just last December 31, 2018, before the year ended in Tokyo, Japan. And they got married just a few days before the Chinese Lunar New Year.

“Life has its ups and downs but ultimately it gets better and merrier as time goes by.”

It’s not known yet when will Maybe come back to the team. So far, PSG.LGD is faring well with Maybe’s substitute, Guo “XM” Hongcheng from CDEC Gaming. The team qualified for the Stockholm Major recently. The Stockholm Major will be on March 2019 at Stockholm, Sweden. Aside from that, everyone is expecting for the Chinese powerhouse to compete in MDL Macau on February 20 – 24, 2019. There are no further announcements whether Maybe will be joining the team to compete for those tournaments.

Right now, PSG.LGD is currently in 4th place in the DPC rankings with a total of 2250 points.
