You can argue all you want but I am a firm believer that Japan is the forerunner of all things in the name of kawaii. From their kimonos, bento boxes, and even their street signs, they’ve managed to somehow put an aesthetic to it. And adding to this “cute” list is a new game that basically lets players live the Japanese country life.

On February 4, indie game publisher, GAME START, posted on Twitter a new project they’re developing. With no official title yet, the game is first set to release on Android and iOS. While other platforms like using consoles or on Steam are currently under consideration.

As of now, there’s still little details on when it will be released but GAME START assured fans that it’ll be coming real soon. Here’s also a first look at the game:

My first thoughts…

Aside from its eye-catching pixel art and adorable character as seen from above, I feel like there will be a lot of things to looks forward to here. I can only imagine that it will have lots of farming. It wouldn’t be called a Japanese country life game without this right? Also, we can see a chicken coop which probably means poultry would be involved.

I don’t know about you guys but I’m pretty excited. GAME START is also known for their Food Truck Pup wherein you’ll help a hardworking Shiba Inu and other pups to sell some crepes, which did pretty well if I can say so myself. Hoping this new indie game would be the same!
