Powered by Intel and NODWIN Gaming, ESL One proudly brings ESL Mumbai 2019.

One of the biggest esports company, ESL One is coming to India with ESL Mumbai 2019. And it might be bigger than DreamHack Mumbai last year. 12 best teams from all around the globe will be fighting for a lucrative $3,000,000 prize pool.

The Group Stage of the event will kick off on April 16 and will run through to April 18. On the other hand, the main event will run over 3 days, April 19 – 21, 2019 in front of a live audience at the NSCI Dome, Mumbai, India. ESL One has partnered with NODWIN Gaming, Indian Esports company, and Intel to make this happen.

7 of the 12 teams will be directly invited for the tournament while 4 teams will have to go through regional qualifiers. That will be for North America, Europe, China, and Southeast Asia. The final team would come from India itself via a local qualifier. The regional closed qualifiers will kick off on February 27 and end on March 7, 2019.  Aside from that, there will also be open qualifiers for each region. Two finalists from the open qualifiers will then join 2 invited teams in the closed qualifiers.

Invited teams for the Closed Qualifiers have been announced as well. From Europe, we have legendary teams Natus Vincere and Alliance. While for North America, we have J.storm and Team Team. China’s direct invites are Keen Gaming and Royal Never Give Up. For SEA are TNC Predator and Lotac. And lastly, for India are Signify and ROG Titans.

Apparently, the downside with ESL Mumbai is that it will overlap with the AMD Sapphire Dota Pit Minor. It will begin on April 22 onwards in Split, Croatia. Speaking of this, a few teams may have to turn down invites because of the DPC Schedules. But, it’s likely that not every team will end up qualifying for the Dota Pit Minor so we can still expect great teams to join ESL Mumbai 2019.
