You heard it right, people! CS:Go is now F2P! Yay or Nay?
All-time favorite FPS game, Counter Strike: Global Offensive is now free-to-play, baby! In addition to its F2P status, Valve announced a new game mode called Danger Zone. And we can’t wait to try it out!

CS:Go developer, Valve, surprisingly announced that CS:Go will now be a free-to-play game at Steam. And as a result, the game has seen a boost in player numbers in just a week. Pretty neat, huh? This is incredible news for new players who want to experience the thrill of the top-notch FPS game.
Before, the game can be bought for $14.99, which is relatively cheap if you ask me. So existing players (those who have bought the game before) will have their accounts upgraded to Prime Status, a premium tier in the game. Prime Status includes exclusive souvenir items, item drops, and weapon cases, and matchmaking against fellow Prime members.
On the other hand, new players will have to grind up to Rank 21 in-game, add a phone number (for verification) or purchase in Steam Store for $14.99 for Prime Status.
There were some raised concerns with the free-to-play status of CS:Go. Long-time players are afraid of hackers, cheaters and smurf accounts that might surface because of the update. It has always been an issue and the free-to-play can increase the possibilities of it. But we’re still hoping that this will be dealt by Valve in the next coming days.

Then, we have the Danger Zone! It’s basically a 16 to 18-player battle royale mode on a map called Blacksite. There will be missions every match that will give you cash bonuses. You can use the cash bonus to purchase drone deliveries of special weapons. What’s cool is that you get to do it in an upgradeable tablet that gives you intel on the shrinking zone, enemy positions, and opponent deliveries.
Unlike the usual CS:Go Battle Royale, Danger Zone is much faster. It can last about 10 minutes tops. You can play solo in the normal 16-player matches. But you can also play in duos or trios in 18-player games.
You can check their official site to check more about Danger Zone HERE!
So you better ready your gaming rigs and dive into our favorite FPS. CS:Go is giving us yet again another great gaming experience.
