Budding teams, Chaos Esports and Infamous are back on track as they qualify for The Stockholm Major.
The South America Qualifiers for The Stockholm Major ended a few days ago. With the conclusion of the qualifiers, Chaos Esports and Infamous will be heading for The Stockholm Major this March.
While the other regions are still competing, North America qualifiers have already ended. Chaos Esports Club had a trouble-free run in the group stage and playoffs in the regional qualifiers. Because of their seemingly good performance, the team secured the first ticket to the main event with an undefeated record. The team did face Infamous along the way, only knocking them down the Lower Bracket rounds.
On the other hand, despite being knocked down to the Lower Bracket, Infamous got back on their feet quickly. It was an intense run for the team as they had to defeat 3 contenders to secure the last remaining slot. And surprisingly, the team handled the pressured in the best way possible. Infamous managed to defeat Jesus e Amigos, Chongqing Major participant Thunder Predator and rei do picolé in excruciating do-or-die series. With their consistent and stable performance, they dominated the Lower Bracket and won their ticket to The Stockholm Major.
In speaking of the competitive leagues, The Stockholm Major will be Chaos Esports’ third Major this DPC season. They’ve placed 9th-12th in The Chongqing Major and played with the big boys during The Kuala Lumpur Major. They currently have 225 DPC points so far, 12th place at the DPC rankings, tied with Alliance. While Infamous, despite not racking up points are yet again trying to make a name in the big leagues.
You can catch Chaos Esports and Infamous on the upcoming DreamLeague Season 11 The Stockholm Major on March 14 – 24, 2019.
