Burdened with other tournaments ahead, TNC withdraws from ESL Katowice 2019.

TNC.Predator announced that they will be withdrawing from the upcoming ESL Katowice 2019. The team would be giving up their spot at ESL Katowice due to conflict with their visa application.

The SEA team and pride of the Philippines, TNC.Predator has been involved with the Chongqing Major for a while now. The team might opt to qualify for MDL Macau instead. It would be a better choice if ever since it’s closer, guaranteeing the team with little to no issues with visas at all.

Aside from TNC, Chinese team EHOME has also dropped out themselves from ESL Katowice. They stated that they will be focusing on MDL Macau instead.

ESL Katowice is one of the many non-DPC tournaments this year. However, despite not being a DPC tournament, a lot of teams are looking forward to it, especially those from the West regions.

TNC would be replaced by Mineski for the upcoming tournament. ESL Katowice will be in Spodek Arena at Katowice, Poland. 12 teams will be participating in the tournament. Winner of the tournament would take home the spoils of the $300,000 USD prize pool. The tournament will kick off on February 19 – 24, 2019.

So far, the participating teams for ESL Katowice are OG, Team Secret, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Chaos Esports, Fnatic, Alliance, Team Aster, and Forward Gaming. And those who qualified through regionals: Gambit Esports, compLexity Gaming, and For The Dream and Mineski.
