“Gusto mo ba ng harana?” – Parokya Ni Ellie, The Last of Us Part 2

The Last of Us Part II may have divided gamers as some fans felt it did not live up to its legendary predecessor, but all would agree that the guitar simulation in the sequel is one of the cool additions to it.

The much-awaited sequel starts with Joel giving Ellie a guitar and teaching her how to play. In certain parts of the game, players are allowed to play the in-game guitar with Ellie using DualShock 4’s touchpad. In fact, some gamers have already taken the liberty to make song covers with it for the world to hear.

The Last El Bimbo

One Pinoy gamer made Ellie play Ang Huling El Bimbo by Eraserheads. As if that was not hilarious enough, he called it The Last El Bimbo by Ellie Buendia.

A Filipino Guitarist named Pao Gregorio is also making rounds on the internet for his covers of Tagalog songs featuring Ellie. One of the hottest ones right now is his take on a popular Christian song called Ama Namin.

He also did not waste the opportunity to show off his take on what is possibly the most played OPM song with guitar ever, as every single guitar-playing Pinot probably knows how to play it by heart. Pao’s cover of Harana by Parokya ni Edgar– or Parokya ni Ellie, as he puts it– has over 82 thousand views on Youtube to date.

Parokya ni Edgar actually took notice of this genius work, sharing it on their social media page for their fans to see.
