It’s Ronald McDonald feat. the global phenomenon, BTS!
After serving us the taste of Korea with their K-Burgers, McDonald’s Philippines is on the verge of rolling out its newest and most probably biggest K-surprise ever. The fast-food behemoth announced on April 19 that it’s collaborating with South Korean all-male pop group, BTS, for its latest celebrity meal.
Aptly named ‘BTS Meal,’ the newest addition to the McDonald’s menu is going global and will be available in nearly 50 countries. It will arrive in the Philippines on June 18, 2021, at participating branches nationwide. The ‘BTS Meal’ consists of a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, medium fries, medium Coca-Cola, and Sweet Chili and Cajun dipping sauces, both inspired by popular recipes from McDonald’s South Korea.
“The band has great memories with McDonald’s. We’re excited about this collaboration and can’t wait to share the BTS Meal with the world,” says BIGHIT MUSIC, the label of BTS.
“No matter who you are, everyone has a go-to order at McDonald’s – even international superstars like BTS,” added Oliver Rabatan, McDonald’s Philippines Marketing & Channels Head. “This band is truly a global phenomenon with a fanbase that knows no borders, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring the BTS Meal to our customers in the Philippines starting June.”
BTS, also known as the Bangtan Boys, consists of Jungkook, V, Suga, Jimin, RM, Jin and J-Hope. The septet started in 2013 under BigHit Entertainment and has since dominated the global music scene with their record-breaking smash hits like Dynamite, Boy With Luv, and DNA, among many others.
