Say no more! Pinoy Music Jam 2018 brings OPM to our fellow OFWs right at Dubai!
OPM is definitely at large right now and OFWs are missing out a lot of fun. But just this November 15 and 16, Pinoy Music Jam 2018 brought OFWs in Dubai back home with their amazing concert!
The 2-day concert rocked the halls of the Dubai World Trade Centre with amazing OPM. It was the biggest Filipino music event in Dubai. Al Tayya Films, event producer of Pinoy Music Jam, brought 10 big artists in the OPM local scene to perform for more than 20,000 Filipino music lovers.

Filipino music lovers all over from Dubai and UAE and even other nationalities were present at the event. And everyone was so hyped up about it because they get to see their favorite classic bands like Parokya ni Edgar and Silent Sanctuary.
It definitely gave the audience what they were missing and longing for the whole time, Original Pinoy Music.

Everyone must have surely missed the Philippines because of this. It’s nostalgic, surely reminds you of home.
OPM icons in Pinoy Music Jam 2018
As Al Tayya Films had advertised, they brought the 10 best and iconic artists and personalities in the OPM local scene. Especially for those who’ve lived in Dubai or UAE for a long time, they’ve probably missed out the new bands.
Autotelic
We’ve always loved Autotelic for their hit song ‘Laro’. We’ve seen them at their gigs in the Metro and now they’re performing in Dubai. This indie-alternative rock band has definitely captured hearts back there.
Takipsilim aaminin mga lihim
Lumilinaw, lumalabo, nasisilaw
Ben & Ben
This is a huge break and a huge step for the indie folk-pop band Ben&Ben. They are one of the fast rising indie bands in the country. And we’re not surprised that they’re huge in Dubai.
DUBAI
– You made our first one EPIC and memorable.
– Thanks for making Kathang Isip and MTN # 1 and # 2 on your radio. Crazy
– See you again someday. pic.twitter.com/dbfFbPYPc0— Ben&Ben (@BenAndBenMusic) November 16, 2018
But this is what really caught our eyes so far! Ben&Ben jammed with a Filipina during a bus ride in Dubai. Lucky girl! (And damn, she’s good!)

Paolo and Miguel are really enjoying the jam! Hope we catch a ride with them next time and sing along to their tunes!
IV of Spades
The trio just came from Hongkong and they’ve flown all the way to Dubai. The retro-inspired band made everyone run for their money during the Pinoy Music Jam 2018. These boys are in too deep and we are too! Just look at them go!

Silent Sanctuary
For every Filipino who’s been heartbroken, Silent Sanctuary was their go to. They are our daily dose of #hugot songs that surely made us cry. They were one of the crowd favorites during the event. Who wouldn’t?
good lights + this band = perfect concert. can’t get enough. bitin e. thank you #PinoyMusicJam sana meron ulit next month. 🤣😂 @silentsanctuary pic.twitter.com/P0Mqhx8FxO

Everyone was singing to our all-time favorite song, ‘Kundiman’. Look at the huge crowd belting out with them!
Other bands and music icons
Aside from the four bands above, Parokya Ni Edgar was also there. They were one of the most-awaited performers of the event. They surely missed the classic rock music we’ve known and grown with. Along with PNE, Hale and Sandwich brought the audience back home with their music that everyone has loved throughout the years.
Kyla, the “Queen of RNB” serenaded the whole exhibition hall with Angeline Quinto, “the Queen of Themed Songs”. Filipinos who weren’t able to watch a lot of teleseryes in Dubai bather in teleserye OSTs and RNB music. Their sweet, angelic voices flooded the whole venue while everyone swayed together with them. Indeed, it was a magical performance. On the other hand, K Brosas brought good music and good laughs as well.
It was a blast! 💗 Thank you @silentsanctuary and @halemusicph for making us the happiest girls last night. I love you two!!! 💗💗💗 #PinoyMusicJam #PinoyMusicJam2018 #SilentSactuary #Hale pic.twitter.com/XwRCrVxgzl

From the Philippines, with love!
Dubai experience not one but two nights of pure OPM feels. They might be far away from our homeland, Pinoy Music Jam 2018 brought it right at their doorsteps. Another incredible event that made everyone feel like home.
This is not just the biggest music event Dubai. It was like a reunion party and coming back home to the music we’ve fallen in love with since we were kids. We hope this isn’t the last!
