The long wait is over! The winners of the Awit Awards 2018 is finally here, and we just couldn’t stop talking about it!

Awit Awards 2018 by Philippine Association of the Record Industry was dominated yet again by amazing Filipino artists this October 14. And right from the nominations, supporters of the music award went all out to vote for their favorite. So it’s not much of a shock at all that Netizens are still hyped after the winners were announced. And, yep! We can’t stop talking about them either!

Here are some of the winners of the #AwitAwards2018! And we must say, they are definitely crowd favorites!

Darren Espanto

17-year old Darren Espanto won Best Performance by a Male Recording Artist, with James Reid coming right after him. His fans are truly proud of him and cannot contain themselves from showing it!

We’ve got Darren’s winning performance of ‘Dying Inside To Hold You’ right here for you!

And we are so dying inside because of his amazing voice!

Of course, this young and talented male recording artist did not forget to thank all of his supporters.

Shanti Dope

Who wouldn’t know Shanti Dope when his rap songs are being played just about everywhere? And for this year’s awards, Shanti is none other than the winner for the Best Rap/Hiphop Recording for his hit song ‘Nadarang.’

Sam Concepcion

This talented artist always takes the music industry by storm. That’s why the love of Sam Concepcion‘s fan is timeless!

His fans are there every step of the way when it comes to Sam’s career, and especially when he bagged the award for Best Dancing Recording for ‘Phone Down.’

Aubrey Caraan

Known for her music group Pop Girls, Aubrey Caraan makes a larger leap into the music scene. Her performance of ‘Ang Bagal Mo Chong’ wins her the Best Performance by a New Female Recording Artist.

Morissette Amon

Yep, Morissette proved once again that she is the Asia’s Phoenix for a reason! Morissette Amon won the 31st Awit Awards’ Best Ballad Recording for the song ‘Naririnig Mo Ba.’

Jonalyn Viray & BoybandPH

Filipina singer and actress Jonalyn Viray bags one of the biggest awards in the Awit Awards 2018! She won the Best Selling Album of the Year for her self-named album, ‘Jona.’

But her achievement does not end there! Jona and BoybandPH won the award for Best Collaboration for their performance of ‘Til The End Of Time.’ #MINDBLOWINGCOLLAB

KZ Tandingan

Fans of KZ Tandingan has been showcasing their support for the Filipina singer since her nominations. Her fans got crazy all over various social media when her album ‘Soul Supremacy’ got the huge Album of the Year Award!

KZ posted a photo of the award on her Instagram account and expressed her gratitude to everyone who supported her.

Moira dela Torre

Filipina singer-songwriter Moria dela Torre already made a name for herself in the Philippine music scene and became famous for her songs such as ‘Malaya.’ Her fans of course, showed their utmost support throughout the 31st Awit Awards.

Moira dela Torre‘s ‘Saglit’ winning the Best Song Written for Movie/TV/Stage Play did not come as much of a shock to us at all! Moira’s talent in songwriting was very much felt through her very painful and emotional songs and it happened once again in the Awit Awards 2018.

IV of Spades

Famous OPM band IV of Spades caused a storm in the Awit Awards 2018!

With  the band’s top-notch performances, they garnered not one, not two, not three… but four awards! How amazing is that?

IV of Spades bagged the Music Video of the Year for ‘Where Have You Been, My Disco’ and were also awarded as the Favorite Group Artist. Their song ‘Hey Barbara’ won the Record of the Year and Best Performance by a Group Recording Artist.

Fans showed so much love and support for the OPM band, and IV of Spades tweeted a heartfelt thank you in their Twitter account.


One of the most successful hip-hop artists in the country, rapper and songwriter Gloc-9 won the Best Song of the Year award in the 31st Awit Awards.

‘TRPKNNMN’ by Gloc-9 featuring Agsunta is a song about the hassle the Filipinos have to endure when commuting around the chaotic cities of the Philippines. Watch and listen to the official music video of ‘TRPKNNMN’ below and rest assured it would reflect the everyday lives of the Filipino people.
