It was yet another full-packed Friday night at Route 196 and people did not seem to mind the rain just for some good music. We could not get enough of the soul- funk tunes, and I’m sure, we all have wished that this event should not just be One Night Only.

The Out of Body Special Reunion

With All Good Radio DJ’s –  Jobim Javier Lambert Cruz on hosting duties for the night, you may have expected a doses of fun and alcohol.

We had Shadow Moses starting off the night with their Hip Hop and Rap game. We asked the Ninno, Chyrho, and Six how they feel about playing along side OBS for this special night,

“I’ve been a fan since I was a kid, so just keep doing what they do… I’m pretty excited, really!” says Ninno.

“We’ve seen them grow in the scene, we’ve seen them grow as artists. We appreciate what they’ve been doing.” says Chyrho.

Six The Northstar have something else to say, though! Watch the video for their interview *wink*.

Props to Shadow Moses, Moonwlk, Jensen & The Flips, Conscious & The Goodness, Brass Pas Pas Pas Pas, and, of course, The Out of Body Special.

We also talked to some of our friends who enjoyed the gig with us and asked them how they felt upon hearing about the reunion.

“It’s actually so exciting kasi ang tagal nilang nawala. This is just a One-night thing…  I’m so excited to hear their songs and dance to it live ’cause it’s OBS!”, shares Hope San Pedro.

U Do U have exclusive interviews from OBS, Shadow Moses, Yael Yuzon of SpongeCola, Mike Constantino of Conscious and The Goodness, and a lot more. Check out their wishes for OBS in our recap video!

OBS goes Digital!

Mike Cons recalls how there wasn’t much of a funk-soul scene back then. He tells us how excited he is as OBS shares their music in all music streaming platforms –

“It’s great! A whole new generation of people will get to discover OBS’s music now because it’s going to be on Spotify…”

We then asks Mike to describe OBS’s music, he says –

“It’s quite close to ours (Conscious and The Goodness) – a mix of funk, soul, and hip hop. Los is one of those rare very talented vocalists that can rap AND sing. He can do both well. I mean, I try to rap but not like Los, man. He’s amazing!”

Yup! That’s why you need to listen to this band right now. They’re music is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, and other music streaming platforms.
