From Wanderland to a series of Ayala Mall shows, things are only getting better for LANY. The indie pop trio will be playing for the Manila crowd on April 5, 2018 at the SMART Araneta Coliseum!

Four EPs Later

Back in March 2014, vocalist Paul Klein flew to Nashville to meet with future members Jake Goss and Les Priest. All three had something to with music; Klein had a small solo career while Goss and Priest were working together on a project called WRLDS. The three formed LANY and anonymously released two singles on SoundCloud the following month. The incognito release of “Hot Lights” and “Walk Away” were done in order to differentiate between their old and new projects.

Their debut EP “Acronyms” hit the interwebs that same year with the track “ILYSB” gaining a lot of attention. After releasing two more singles, they finally revealed their identities. Klein addressed their name in an interview with Teen Vogue to start off 2015, stating that the name is an acronym for Los Angeles and New York. They began touring around the United States to support the likes of Troye Sivan and Halsey before releasing their second EP, “I Loved You”.

LANY was signed to Polydor Records in December 2015. They released two more EPs and continued hitting the road, playing headline tours and big festivals such as Bonnaroo, Firefly, and Outsidelands. Finally, in June 2017, they released their self-titled debut album with 16 tracks.

Manila Loves LANY (so bad)

They debuted in Manila earlier this year for Wanderland where they played alongside The Temper Trap, The Ting Tings, Explosions in the Sky, and Purity Ring. They came back a couple months later to play five Ayala Mall shows all around the Metro, and they’ll be back again next year for their first headlining show in Manila!

Tickets are priced at PHP3500 for VIP Standing, PHP3000 for Patron A, PHP2500 for Patron B, PHP2000 for Lower Box, PHP1500 for Upper Box, and PHP1000 for General Admission. Selling of tickets start this Thursday, December 14 at 10:00 AM from TicketNet online and all outlets nationwide.

LANY tickets seem to be on the cheaper end as compared to most shows, so make sure you get them while they’re hot. See you next year!
