I hope you’re excited as we are because Miguel is coming to Manila for the first time! Here are the details you need to know!

Karpos Multimedia announced American singer, Miguel, will be holding a one-night concert on October 9, 2019, at The Island.

If you are a fan of Frank Ocean and The Weeknd, or that orgasmic-electric R&B vibe, you should probably check Miguel out!

Who is Miguel?

You’re probably asking, “Who is this guy?” Well, the 33-year-old artist rose to fame with his hit songs, ‘Sky Walker’, and ‘Pineapple Skies’. You may have heard him sing ‘Vote’  from ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ and the pop rendition of ‘Remember Me’ from ‘Coco’.

Miguel’s first studio album, ‘All I Want Is You’, was released in 2010 and since then, he’s released 3 albums, namely, ‘Kaleidoscope Dream’ (2012), ‘Wildheart’ (2015), and ‘War & Leisure’ (2017). He has even collaborated with the hottest artists like Chris Brown, Travis Scott, Future, J.Cole, and even Mariah Carey!

His first album didn’t gain as much as a response but in 2013 he earned his first Grammy for Best R&B Song for ‘Ador’. He was also nominated for a Grammy during that time for Best Urban Contemporary Album for ‘Kaleidoscope Dream’, Song of the Year and Best R&B Performance for “Adorn”, and Best Rap Song for “Lotus Flower Bomb”.

Recently, he has been nominated again for Best R&B Song for “Come Through and Chill” featuring J. Cole and Salaam Remi.

Miguel uses his Latin roots as inspiration for the sexy feel of his songs. When you hear some of his like “Simple Things” you’ll feel that you’ve probably heard it before. Miguel believes his music to be “nostalgic and familiar but shocking, edgy, and energizing.” Critics describe Miguel’s music as “indie R&B”, rooting from soul music while and experimenting with the genre and bringing it to new light.
