As Ben&Ben continues to dominate charts and music streaming platforms, they’re also on a non-stop work to share their blessings with others.

On October 4, 2020, the nine-piece collective is set to perform for a one-hour live concert benefitting the ‘Balik Eskwela’ project. The fundraising show starts at 5 pm onwards via simultaneous streams on their official Facebook Page and YouTube Channel.

Titled ‘Balik Eskwela: Puhon Part 2,’ the event serves as a sequel to their previously successful fundraiser Puhon: A Ben&Ben FB Live Event for the COVID-19 Efforts and YouTube Live “Doors” Single Launch + Fundraiser. This time, their primary goal is to help out students and teachers who are greatly affected by the massive changes in Philippine education brought about by the pandemic crisis.

“Ever since the end of the first Puhon, we’ve been aching to help out even more in our own little way,” shares Ben&Ben lead vocalist and guitarist, Miguel Benjamin. ”And so, when we were figuring out where to help with the myriad of problems in today’ss landscape, we eventually zeroed in on helping out a sector that is very close to our hearts: education.”

With the unprecedented success of the first Puhon gig, the folk-pop band was able to gather funds for COVID-19 relief efforts. For Puhon part 2, it’s the educational sector that will be their beneficiary. “We have concluded upon analysis that this is one of the areas wherein most help is needed in these times,” explains Ben&Ben lead vocalist and guitarist Paolo Benjamin. “School in the time of the pandemic is something that none of us expected, and so we will do our best to help out in this major challenge.”

For the unversed, is a collaborative platform committed to supporting vulnerable communities badly hit by the on-going COVID-19 pandemic in the country. As part of this online community, Ben&Ben has done their part by holding free online concerts to give aid to those in need.

Miguel Benjamin reveals that Puhon Part 2 will be Ben&Ben’s first time to self-produce a full-length concert during the pandemic. He also tells everyone to “expect a very intimate, premium live concert experience” from their home to yours.

Funds collected by the Balik Eskwela Project will go the following:

  • E-learning and physical supplies that will be distributed to public schools.

  • Care packages (PPEs and vitamins) for teachers and personnel assigned for distribution of said supplies.

  • Distribution efforts with localized transport systems that will be coordinated with LGUs.
