A Twitter thread is going viral because it teaches a very important lesson. Twitter user @baileyanastas shares a story that shows us why we shouldn’t be quick to judge people. This story has resonated with so many people that it’s even being re-shared on Facebook. It currently has 23.8 thousand retweets and 28 thousand likes.

The story begins like this!

Have you ever had a classmate that would just ask the most basic questions? Where they would ask the kind of questions you wouldn’t even need to ask if you were listening in the first place? Well, she had a classmate just like that.

But surprisingly…

So naturally, you’d be curious right?

And the reason she had to ask all those questions was…

This is true friendship, right here.

So the main take-away from this is that we shouldn’t be quick to judge other people. You’ll never know the reasons behind the things people do. But also it’s important to note that this is what true friendship is like. It’s not all about being seen together all the time. Or spending every waking hour together. It’s most important during times when you can’t lift yourself up, but they’re the ones who are there to lend a hand.

What do you think of this touching story? Do you have a friend you can depend on like this? And most importantly, did it make you pause and think of why we shouldn’t be quick to judge people? We’d love to hear what you think!
