Marcelito Pomoy is a contestant in the newest spin-off of America’s talent show, America’s Got Talent: The Champions.

Marcelito Pomoy is the grand winner of the 2nd season of Pilipinas Got Talent in 2011.

Last year, we got hold of the news that Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 grad winner Marcelito Pomoy was joining another competition. This time, he is performing for audiences on the other side of the world as he becomes a part of the roster for America’s Got Talent: The Champions.

Of course, we knew that new audiences who would get to watch him for the first time will be impressed. After all, Marcelito has a great talent that is one of a kind. So, beaming with Filipino pride, it wasn’t really shocking when we saw him trend today on social media sites such as Twitter. And sure enough, people are all abuzz about the guy with dual voices.

Watch his trending phenomenal performance which made all the judges and audience stand by simply playing the video below!

AAAGH, we still get the goosebumps!

“Marcelito Pomoy just reinvented the duet!”

Honestly, as Filipinos we quite had our share of Marcelito Pomoy showcasing his talent with us through shows like ASAP. So now, we are just proud that he would get to share it with the rest of the world through AGT. Moreover, he is killing it! In fact, the official Twitter account of the American talent competition tweeted it themselves.

With that performance, he really deserved the golden buzzer–the live audience thought so too. However Howie Mandel, one of the judges of the show, said that it’s too early to press the golden buzzer.

In a good note though, the show’s element called the “superfans” – 50 people from each of the U.S.A’s 50 states – have the power to vote if the contestants could advance to the semi-finals immediately. Unsurprisingly, Marcelito was also chosen.

Congratulations to Marcelito and we are wishing you the best on your journey!
