It is undeniable that with every fandom of each famous person or celebrity, comes some toxic and problematic fans.

For a while now, we have known that Maine Mendoza and Arjo Atayde are in a relationship. In fact, it was around January last year too when they revealed that they are “exclusively dating”. So when they post sweet photos of them together, we honestly can’t feel anything but happiness for the both of them.

Just watch the cute TikTok video below where the couple decided to take on the Tala Challenge.

They’re super adorable, aren’t they? Also we know that deep inside, some of you are internally thinking, “sana all”.

So, when we found out that a specific hashtag trended for a while yesterday, we were honestly shocked. Because apparently, some fans from the AlDub Nation decided to tweet #NoToArjoTheUser in support of the pairing that they really want – Alden Richards and Yaya Dub, which is the name Maine Mendoza was also known by.

Moreover, some even tweeted atrocious reasons as to why they didn’t like Arjo for Maine. And honestly? Everything really is just plain bullshit. Quoting President Nadine Lustre’s iconic line, ANU NA 2020 NA!

Aldub Nation’s #NoToArjoTheUser vs Maine’s #YesToArjo

Of course being the great woman that she is, Maine didn’t let this thing pass without giving her fans a piece of her mind. Yesterday night, she took the opportunity to tweet something rather sarcastic in defense of her man. Check it out below.

And in that simple, classy #YesToArjo tweet, we know that she stays unbothered with these problematic “fans”. Moreover, it seems like she really doesn’t regard these toxic people as her fans at all anymore. After all, she already released a statement March last year – which you can read by clicking here – talking about how she thinks of the people who talk bad about her and Arjo.

Just read some truthful lines from her personal blog post below.

You fell in love with Yaya Dub, not Maine. Could it be a (sad) fact to finally admit?

Sadly, I cannot stay as Yaya Dub forever. This is Maine, the real me. And this is real life. And I cannot go on with my life behind a fictional character.

Obviously, it’s true–’cause if the fans truly support Maine, they would respect her personal decisions. Moreover as her message comes to an end, she says that she is happy and the fans should be too. She hopes that they find “inner peace” and hilariously ends her blog post with a recipe of turon.

Likewise, a lot of people believed that AlDub Nation was taking it too far. Just read this tweet from a netizen below.
