Two more Princess Switch films are officially on the way!
The next consecutive Holiday seasons are sure to be filled with festive cheer, thanks to the two arriving sequels to 2018’s Netflix Christmas flick, The Princess Switch.
The Princess Switch: Switched Again is already coming to Netflix on November 19, 2020, which will see the High School Musical star ‘Vanessa Hudgens’ taking the lead roles once again as Duchess Margaret and Princess Stacy of Belgravia. In this new film, though, Hudgens takes on a third doppelganger– Margaret’s cousin, Fiona.
The sequel tells the story of Margaret as she struggles in her relationship with her boyfriend, Kevin, after unexpectedly inheriting the throne to Montenaro. It’s now up to Stacy to bring the lovers back together. However, things get much more complicated with the sudden arrival of a handsome royal who intends to steal Margaret’s heart, and also Margaret’s party-girl cousin, Fiona, who has an outrageous personality and a troubled past. As Netflix puts it, viewers will have the recipe for Christmas triple trouble!
The Princess Switch: Switched Again is directed by Mike Rohl and written by Robin Bernheim Burger & Megan Metzzer. It’s based on the characters by Robin Bernheim Burger & Megan Metzzer, and stars Vanessa Hudgens, Sam Palladio and Nick Sagar.
Wait, there’s more!
The streaming service is happy to announce that we aren’t just getting one, but two sequels! As Switched Again arrives on the platform next month, the production for Princess Switch 3 starts in Scotland this year. Vanessa Hudgens is gonna be there again, of course, and while Netflix has yet to give major details about the third film in the works, it is already slated to release in Holiday 2021!
