Netflix really be giving us all the reasons to live!

The March sisters are here and 6 months after the theatrical release, they’re finally coming to Netflix PH this July 9.

Written and directed by Greta Gerwig, this 2019 adaptation of a Louisa May Alcott classic is a stellar feature and has been renowned for paying the closest homage to the historical feminist read.

As is the true nature of the classic novel, the film adaptation of The Little Women follows the lives of the March sisters Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy, switching between scenes of their present-day lives and young adult selves, making tough decisions that have led to where they stand now.

Apart from having a fantastic director-who mind you also directed the Golden Globe Best Motion Picture, Lady Bird-the film also features a star-studded cast namely, Emma Watson as Meg, Saoirse Ronan as Jo, Eliza Scanien as Beth, and Florence Pugh as Amy acting alongside other big-screen hotshots such as Timothee Chalamet, Meryl Streep, and many more.

The period drama directed by Greta Gerwig is the 7th adaptation of the film and by far the most successful in both the theatrical and business sense.

The film is critically acclaimed holistically receiving numerous praises for Gerwig’s direction and screenplay as well as the cast’s stellar performance, earning the film its 6 Academy Awards nominations including Best Film, Best Actress (Ronan), Best Supporting Actress (Pugh), and Best Screenplay, to which it won Best Costume.

This 2019 adaptation also received a massive following grossing at a whopping $ 209.1 million worldwide.

If you missed it on the big screen, don’t fret! Just head on over to Netflix on July 9 and journey through the lives of the March sisters.
